Named after its respected owner Ignatius Chan, Iggy’s has been tantalising diners with a mix of international flavours and fabulous wines for more than 10 years. The restaurant reflects Chan’s experiences travelling the world as an award-winning sommelier, marrying flavours and ingredients from Europe, Japan and Australia with contemporary cooking techniques.
The ‘gastronomic’ tasting menu builds through a series of small snacks and starters such as prawn and fish frito and Spanish mackerel with turnip, persimmon and yuzu through to the diners’ choices of larger pork, lamb or wagyu mains. Dishes change with the season, although the signature capellini with sakura ebi (shrimp), konbu (kelp) and shellfish oil is always on the menu.
The intimate dining room – within the Hilton Hotel – sports a cream colour scheme and softly lit feature wall, along with the separate dessert bar. The exemplary wine list has a strong focus on Burgundy and pinot noir.
