A night at The Everleigh is a unique Melbourne experience. After entering through an American diner, walking down a dim-lit hallway and climbing a few stairs, you are whisked back in time to a bar reminiscent of the golden era, dedicated to classic cocktails and service.
The Everleigh opened its doors on July 4th 2011. It has since been named Gourmet Traveller’s ‘Bar of the Year’ (2013), The Age’s ‘Bar of the Year’ (2012), and both ‘Cocktail Bar of the Year’ (2014), and ‘Bar of the Year’, (2015) by Time Out.
The Everleigh has also placed in the highly coveted ‘World’s 50 Best Bars’ list courtesy of Drinks International in 2013 and 2014.
The Everleigh ethos reflects the values of its world-renowned big sister, Milk and Honey New York, a bar credited with creating a classic cocktail renaissance in a quality, detail oriented service setting.
The Everleigh is a small family dedicated to creating a truly hospitable, intimate atmosphere where both regulars and visitors can feel at home.
With a purist approach to cocktails, The Everleigh focuses upon classics from the time of the cocktail’s birth. Our method is one of careful attention to detail. It is meticulous and systematic. Every step in the preparation of making and serving a cocktail has been carefully considered to ensure efficiency and quality above all else.
Whilst our small menu is ever changing and always displays a great selection of cocktails, we aim to tailor your drink to your individual tastes and desires. When encouraging our guests to order according to Bartender’s Choice, we discuss what fresh fruits, flavours, spirits and style of drink you feel like before selecting a suitable much loved or forgotten classic.
The Everleigh boasts one of the largest classic cocktail book selections in the world displayed within our in-house library, allowing us to offer a fantastically broad selection of drinks in various styles.
